About Chłopy

(Kashubian: Borowô, German: Bauerhufen) – a seaside holiday village in north-western Poland, on the Slovincian Coast, located in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in the Koszalin County, within the Mielno municipality. According to data from 2006, the village has 223 inhabitants. Characteristics The present-day village is located on the site of a Slavic settlement dating back to the 13th century, originally called Borowo (the name derives from the extensive forests that once covered the area). Until 1945, the German name of the village was Bauerhufen. The Polish name Chłopy was officially introduced in 1948. The village has preserved the traditional layout of a fishing settlement, including 19th-century houses decorated with folk paintings. The layout consists of 9 streets. The Mielno municipality established the auxiliary administrative unit “Sołectwo Chłopy”, covering only the village of Chłopy. The residents elect a village head and a village council consisting of 3 to 7 members. The nearest post office is located in Sarbinowo. Tourism A designated summer bathing area “Chłopy 214” with a length of 100 m is located by the sea, at the entrance from Portowa Street. In 2012, the bathing area in Chłopy met the European Union water quality standards. An integral part of Chłopy is the fishing harbour, where fishing boats are pulled ashore and fresh fish is sold directly from fishermen’s stalls. In 1994, a marine harbour for fishermen was established in Chłopy. It includes a slipway, a beach area for boats and a water area 100 m wide measured from the shoreline. The harbour is managed and supervised by the Maritime Office in Słupsk. Another attraction is the “Treasury of the Fishing Village” Museum, established in 2019, which presents memorabilia related to the local community, especially its fishing heritage. Nearby, there is also a large open playground for children and an outdoor fitness area. In addition, the 16th meridian runs through the village and is marked along the cycling path forming part of the coastal Via Baltica route.

About Us

The Ledan Recreation and Rehabilitation Centre is a year-round facility that combines comfortable leisure with professional rehabilitation. Its location directly by the sea, with private access to the beach (guarded during the summer season), creates ideal conditions both for relaxation and for improving health and physical condition. Our guests have access to a 24-hour reception, always ready to assist in any situation. On the premises, we provide free Wi-Fi, monitored parking and a fenced green area conducive to peaceful rest. Guests can enjoy numerous amenities, including a bonfire and barbecue area, a beach volleyball court, a children’s playground, as well as a gym with a fitness room and table tennis. We also offer a well-equipped rehabilitation base with treatment rooms and massage rooms. For the youngest guests, we have prepared a playroom, while for those who prefer active leisure – bicycle rental is available. We also invite you to our Small SPA – a place of relaxation and tranquillity – as well as to our Restaurant and Café Ledan, where we serve tasty meals and desserts. We offer comfortable single, double, triple and quadruple rooms in standard, comfort and studio categories, with views of the sea or the garden. All rooms are adapted to the needs of guests with reduced mobility – the entire facility is free of architectural barriers, ensuring comfort and safety during the stay. Our offer includes leisure stays, rehabilitation programmes and health holidays. We also organise conferences, business meetings as well as family and special events, including weddings. We are at your disposal 24 hours a day – our staff is always ready to assist you!

Rehabilitation

We invite you to take advantage of our rehabilitation services, where modern therapeutic methods are combined with an individual approach to each guest. We offer a well-equipped treatment base and qualified staff who ensure comfort, safety and effectiveness of therapy. The treatments help reduce pain, improve mobility, support body regeneration and assist in the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. Medical and physiotherapy consultations are available both as part of rehabilitation stays and individual visits. We encourage you to contact the reception desk to select treatments tailored to your needs. Scope of available treatments: Induction Stimulation (SIS 6000 BTL) SIS is a modern, painless physiotherapy method using a high-intensity electromagnetic field. A single session usually lasts 8 to 15 minutes, while a full treatment series includes 5 to 10 sessions (2–3 times per week). This method is particularly effective in reducing pain, improving joint mobility, supporting tissue regeneration, as well as in cases of spasticity and fractures. Ultrasound Therapy (Premium Smart 4710) Ultrasound consists of mechanical waves that are inaudible to the human ear (>20 kHz) and are widely used in medicine, physiotherapy and cosmetology. Through mechanical (micromassage), thermal and physicochemical effects, they accelerate healing, relieve pain, reduce swelling and inflammation, and improve tissue blood circulation. Electrotherapy (Smart 4625) Electrotherapy is a branch of physiotherapy that uses direct, alternating or pulsed currents for therapeutic and rehabilitation purposes. It is mainly used to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, improve circulation and stimulate muscles and nerves. Treatments such as TENS or interferential currents are safe and commonly used in musculoskeletal conditions. Laser Therapy (Smart 4621) Laser therapy includes treatments using medical lasers – devices that emit a concentrated, monochromatic light beam. They are used, among others, in surgery, aesthetic medicine, dentistry and cosmetology. In physiotherapy, laser therapy supports healing processes within the musculoskeletal system. It has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and anti-swelling effects, supports healing and improves microcirculation. Magnetotherapy (Magnet 4920) Magnetotherapy is a widely used physiotherapy method based on the therapeutic properties of a magnetic field that penetrates deep into affected tissues. It is effective in relieving pain, reducing inflammation and swelling, and accelerating healing processes. Indications include sports injuries, joint pain and inflammation, soft tissue damage, and various musculoskeletal disorders. Inhalation (Ultrasonic Inhaler) Ultrasonic inhalation is a therapeutic method that uses high-frequency sound waves to break down liquid medication or saline solutions into a fine mist (aerosol) with particles smaller than 5 µm. This allows the substances to reach deep into the respiratory tract, effectively moisturising it, loosening secretions and reducing inflammation – especially beneficial in seaside environments. Rehabilitation Massages (targeted) Rehabilitation (therapeutic) massage is a specialised physiotherapy method used to relieve pain, improve joint mobility and support recovery after injuries and surgeries. It is performed by qualified staff using techniques such as kneading, rubbing and tapping to affect muscles and the circulatory system. It is recommended to eat a light meal approximately 1.5 hours before the treatment and remove jewellery. Fango and Peat Compresses Fango and peat compresses are thermal treatments (peloid therapy) using volcanic mud or peat to relieve pain, relax muscles and reduce inflammation. They are particularly used in rheumatic and orthopaedic conditions as well as in rehabilitation. They improve circulation and support detoxification processes in the body. Infrared Lamp (Sollux Uno) The infrared lamp emits heat that penetrates deep into the skin, providing pain relief, muscle relaxation and anti-inflammatory effects. It is commonly used for sinus problems, muscle pain, joint stiffness, colds and to support recovery after injuries. It is also effective in rheumatic conditions and improves blood circulation. Cryotherapy (CRYO 7) Cryotherapy (cold therapy) is mainly used to relieve pain, reduce inflammation and swelling, and accelerate the regeneration of muscles and joints. It is applied in orthopaedics (injuries), rheumatology, neurology, as well as in cosmetology to improve skin firmness and reduce cellulite.

Rehabilitation stays 2026

A 7- or 14-day rehabilitation stay combines professional therapy with comfortable relaxation and a शांत seaside atmosphere supporting recovery. Depending on the selected stay, we offer 5 or 10 treatment days, during which at least 2 individually tailored treatments are provided daily. Each participant receives a medical or physiotherapy consultation and qualification for an appropriate treatment programme. Guests are provided with full board, including breakfast, lunch and dinner, prepared on site with attention to quality and dietary needs. The stay begins with an organisational meeting to facilitate orientation and introduce the offer of the facility. The stay is not only about rehabilitation, but also about relaxation and social integration – we organise shared activities that support rest and a pleasant atmosphere. We provide comfortable accommodation in the selected room category. For guests’ convenience, deck chairs and windbreaks are available in the rooms. Additionally, we offer sessions in the salt cave and the possibility to rent the Small SPA exclusively, ensuring deeper relaxation and regeneration.

Restaurant and Gastronomy

We invite you to enjoy our cuisine, where we combine tradition with a modern approach to cooking. The dishes we prepare are a combination of Polish home-style cuisine, enriched with regional products and elements of Mediterranean cuisine.

As part of your stay, we offer hotel catering with breakfast served in buffet form. Depending on the selected package, lunches are served and dinners are provided in buffet form. During selected periods, such as holidays, long weekends or the summer season, buffet dinners are also available, offering greater flexibility and comfort.In our Restaurant and Café Ledan, we also invite you to take advantage of our extensive à la carte menu. The menu includes, among others:

The offer is complemented by coffee, hot and cold beverages, as well as a wide selection of juices and alcoholic drinks.All dishes are prepared on site using fresh ingredients, with a focus on local products whenever possible.

We take into account the dietary needs of our guests, offering light, diabetic, lactose-free, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.

Our Head Chef Monika, together with her team, is responsible for the quality and taste of our dishes, ensuring careful preparation and a homemade character of every meal. Upon request, we organise events – from family celebrations and special occasions to weddings, business meetings and catering services.

Dear Guests, For the comfort, safety and pleasant atmosphere of all our guests, we kindly ask you to familiarise yourself with and comply with the following rules of the Ledan Recreation and Rehabilitation Centre. We thank you for your cooperation and wish you a pleasant stay.

TERMS OF STAY

The management of the Ledan Recreation and Rehabilitation Centre kindly asks you to read and comply with these regulations. The purpose of these rules is to ensure safety, comfort and a peaceful stay for all guests, as well as the proper functioning of the facility. §1. Hotel day and stay conditions Rooms are rented on a daily basis. The hotel day lasts from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 a.m. the following day. If the duration of stay is not specified, the reservation is considered to be for one day. Extension of the stay requires notification at the reception desk by 10:00 a.m. on the day preceding departure and depends on room availability. Staying in the room after 11:00 a.m. results in an additional night charge. In the event of early departure, no refund is granted for unused stay. §2. Payments and reservations The guest is obliged to settle the payment for the stay in accordance with the reservation conditions. The facility has the right to refuse extension of the stay in case of outstanding payments. §3. Scope of services and liability of the facility The facility provides services in accordance with its category and standard. Any complaints regarding the stay should be reported immediately at the reception desk. The facility ensures: conditions for rest, safety of stay, professional service, cleaning and necessary repairs. The facility is not responsible for inconveniences caused by factors beyond its control (e.g. utility interruptions, weather conditions). §4. Guest liability The guest bears full financial responsibility for any damage caused by themselves or by visitors staying with them. In the event of damage, the facility has the right to charge the guest for repair or replacement costs. The guest is obliged to report any damage immediately to the reception desk. §5. Safety and property The facility is liable for items brought in by the guest in accordance with applicable civil law provisions. Valuables, money and valuable items should be deposited at the reception desk – otherwise the facility’s liability may be limited. §6. Rules of conduct The guest is obliged to: use the room in accordance with its intended purpose, respect the rules of social coexistence, maintain order and proper condition of the room equipment. When leaving the room, it should always be locked and the key returned to the reception. It is prohibited to transfer the room to third parties. Unregistered persons may stay in the room until 10:00 p.m. Quiet hours apply from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. §7. Prohibitions Smoking of tobacco and tobacco products is prohibited throughout the facility. In case of violation, a fee of 500 PLN will be charged for room refreshing. It is prohibited to: use electrical devices not included in the room equipment, engage in behaviour that threatens the safety of other guests, disturb the peace of other guests. §8. Right to refuse service The facility has the right to refuse accommodation or further services to a guest who: violates the regulations, disturbs order or peace, is under the influence of alcohol or intoxicating substances, poses a threat to other persons or property. §9. Lost property Items left in the room after departure may be sent to the indicated address at the guest’s expense. In the absence of instructions, the facility may store the items for a specified period or dispose of them in accordance with applicable regulations. PLAYGROUND RULES

The playground is intended for children’s recreation and leisure. Please familiarise yourself with the following rules and comply with them for the safety of all users. §1. General provisions The playground is intended for children aged 3 to 14. Children may stay on the playground only under adult supervision, who bear full responsibility for them. Users are obliged to maintain order and respect shared property. §2. Use of equipment Equipment should be used in accordance with its intended purpose and safety rules. It is prohibited to use equipment in a manner that may pose a risk to health or life. §3. Safety and responsibility Supervising persons are obliged to monitor children and respond to dangerous situations. Legal guardians are responsible for any damage caused by children. Persons who damage equipment or infrastructure are financially liable for the damage. §4. Prohibitions It is strictly prohibited on the playground: consumption of alcohol, smoking tobacco, presence of persons under the influence of alcohol or intoxicating substances, littering, damaging equipment or greenery, bringing animals, behaviour that threatens the safety of others. §5. Final provisions Persons violating the rules may be asked to leave the playground. Any damage or irregularities should be reported immediately to the reception desk. SMALL SPA RULES

The Small SPA is a place of relaxation, tranquillity and regeneration. Please familiarise yourself with the following rules and comply with them for the comfort and safety of all guests. §1. General provisions The SPA area is a quiet zone. Children under 10 years of age may stay in the SPA only under adult supervision. Each guest uses the SPA at their own responsibility, taking into account their health condition. §2. Health and safety Use of the SPA is not recommended for: people with heart conditions, high or low blood pressure, people with diabetes, people taking blood-thinning, antihistamine, sedative medications or beta-blockers, pregnant women, people with open wounds or skin inflammations, people showing symptoms of conditions that may pose a risk to others. In such cases, prior medical consultation is recommended. The facility is not responsible for health effects resulting from use of the SPA contrary to these recommendations. §3. Rules of use Before entering the SPA area and sauna, the body must be thoroughly washed. Silence should be maintained and the comfort of other guests respected. Staff have the right to warn or remove persons who do not comply with the rules. Any irregularities or hazards should be reported immediately to staff. §4. Responsibility and property Valuables should be deposited (information at the reception desk). The facility is not responsible for items left in the SPA area. Guests are financially liable for any damage they cause. §5. Prohibitions In the SPA area it is prohibited to: smoke tobacco, consume alcohol, stay under the influence of alcohol or intoxicating substances, bring glass containers, consume food or chew gum, disturb the peace of other guests. §6. General recommendations For comfort and safety, it is recommended to: drink still water before, during and after using the SPA, avoid heavy meals approximately 1 hour before use, inform staff about any health conditions. §7. Sauna use The sauna should not be used by persons with health contraindications (especially heart conditions, hypertension, pregnancy). A single sauna session should not exceed 10 minutes. After each session, the body should be cooled down and rested. In the sauna it is required to: use a towel (the entire body must be in contact only with the towel), remove jewellery before entering. It is prohibited to: use personal oils or fragrances, dry towels or personal items, stay without a towel. §8. Final provisions Persons violating the rules may be asked to leave the SPA area.
